He is Risen!
• Pastor Joseph Lephiew • Series: Death Defeated
Good Friday marks the moment Jesus declared, “It is finished” (John 19:30), signifying the completion of His mission to redeem humanity. Through His death, Jesus fulfilled prophecy, paid the debt of sin, and opened the way for salvation. Though to many, Good Friday seems dark, to believers it represents the power of God's master plan to restore what Adam lost. Jesus was buried, but in the tomb, He battled death, hell, and the grave—emerging victorious on the third day. His resurrection broke the power of death and secured eternal life for those who believe. On Resurrection Sunday, the empty tomb stood as proof that Jesus had done what He said He would do. Though many doubted, Jesus appeared and called them to believe. The resurrection is our hope—it reminds us that no matter what we face, in Christ, the best is yet to come.
